In late 2024 we worked with a global fashion retailer who sell dresses for specific events - think proms and weddings, that type of thing.
The goal of this project was to build links to a handful of product collections, including one main collection, which is one of the main revenue drivers for the business.
Deciding On Link Strategy
The goal here was pretty simple - build as many high quality, niche relevant links as possible directly to the product collection itself.
We usually prefer to build links to blog posts that then internally link to product collections and pages, as highlighted in our most recent guest post, however in this niche specifically the competition are all building multiple links every month directly to their product pages.
Given the super high competition, we decided to compete by replicating this strategy with a focus on higher quality links than the competition.
Type Of Links Used
We used two main types of links - guest posts and link insertions.
With white label link building, we have found these to be the most effective types of links to build in terms of moving the needle on key revenue-generating pages.
How Links Were Chosen
When building any type of guest post or link insertion we always look for a few things:
- Niche relevancy
- Consistent, quality traffic from a relevant country
- Minimum DR, with few exceptions
- Outbound anchor text profile must be natural
This isn't our entire list, but you get the idea.
Once we get a list of prospects together, we use email software to automate outreach and get as many leads back as possible. We then choose the best link options and build out the links in a natural way, using a varied anchor text.
The Results
We were able to increase the traffic to the page by more than 10,000 per month according to Ahrefs, generating thousands of dollars in organic traffic value.
