This case study focuses on a recent client we managed in the legal space.

Before we started, they were only receiving clicks to their home page, mostly due to the brand name having some search volume.
We were able to increase traffic to well over 1,000 per month in an EXTREMELY competitive niche.
Here's how we did it.
Month One
During the first month of any SEO campaign we like to audit the site to see if any errors are present, and develop an SEO strategy moving forward to allow for maximum growth.
During the audit for this client, we noticed that they had not yet built out key service pages - think 'car accident lawyer {location}' and so on.
We addressed this right away by implementing a service page structure which contained the top query, funneling down into specific location pages.
Outside of this, we also addressed all on page and technical SEO issues that were present. Once all of this was done, we could focus on building great links and publishing lots of useful content.
Monthly SEO Management After The First Month
After the first month was done, the priority was then to build as many links and pieces of content as possible to support the main lead gen pages.
Link Building Strategy
Our link building strategy focused mostly on high quality guest posts and link insertions.
At a minimum, all links needed to meet the following requirements:
- Niche relevancy
- Solid organic traffic with keywords ranking in the same niche
- US/Can/UK/Aus traffic primarily
- No casino/adult/CBD/etc outbound anchors
Every link opportunity was manually vetted for relevancy, and we were building between 6 and 10 links every month.
For target pages and anchor text, we focused most links on the home page to build a natural link profile.
We used branded anchors quite frequently and a small proportion of exact match anchors on lead gen pages from our 'top' links.
Content Strategy
For content, we were fortunate that our client had an in-house writer with real legal experience.
This meant we could send across content briefs and have the content published on autopilot. We published an average of 10 blog posts per month, with a focus on content that was helpful above all else.
The topics for the content were pretty much all legal-related, specifically to accidents and the questions that people had about accidents when they occur. For example, things like 'what to do after you've been involved in an accident,' and so forth.
The Results
We took traffic from around 100 per month to over 1,000 per month (1.21K clicks in 28 days as of the most recent check).
This may sound like quite a low number, but keep in mind that legal leads are extremely valuable, and this business turns over millions per year.
